In the two months since Cheri Beasley won the Democratic nomination for Senate, the election in November has become even more critical. The Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, and Republicans are working to restrict women’s health care in every state where they can.
Reproductive freedom still exists in North Carolina and I will fight to keep it that way. But this is a national issue and the fundamental right to bodily autonomy must be protected everywhere in our country, and that will require the federal government to act.
