2022 Annual Supreme Court Review

The National Constitution Center and ADL present an America's Town Hall featuring distinguished legal experts Erwin Chemerinsky, Gregory G. Garre, Amy Howe, and Frederick M. Lawrence discussing the important cases of the term including voting rights, church-state separation, reproductive rights, and immigration. They will also discuss the impact of Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s confirmation to the Court and what to expect next term. Dahlia Lithwick of Slate moderates.

Abortion Law in the U.S. and Abroad After Roe 

Thursday, July 14 | 7 p.m. ET


The U.S. Supreme Court ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization overturned the landmark decision of Roe v. Wade and found no constitutional basis for a right to choose abortion. Teresa Stanton Collett of the University of St. Thomas School of Law, David French of The DispatchKatherine Mayall of the Center for Reproductive Rights, and Mary Ziegler of Florida State University College of Law and author of Abortion and the Law in America join for a conversation exploring the role of the Supreme Court in shaping abortion rights under the Constitution, how U.S. abortion law compares to that of other countries after Roe, and what lessons the United States can learn from how abortion is treated by law in other nations. Jeffrey Rosen, president and CEO of the National Constitution Center, moderates.
