Cuts, cuts, cuts: new round of service changes continues downward trend.
|
The recent changes will impact 61 out of the 101 total Port Authority routes and will result in an alleged 4% decrease in the service. These changes come on the heels of the April changes, where riders lost 2% of service when 25 routes changed. This is an emergency alert for our transit service. The cuts are deemed “temporary” – but riders need to see a plan for service expansion because our experience is that once routes are cut, they don’t come back. |

FREE WORKSHOP SERIES: Building a Disability Politic & Access-Centered Cultures |
PPT has been working the Peoples Hub and a powerful cohort of PGH-based organizations since last Fall to build strategies that center the wisdom and leadership of disabled and non-english-speaking people. The results have been profound and have made us a stronger organization that can tackle bigger issues because we have more perspectives at the table.
Now, the Peoples Hub is going to offer a 2-part workshop for individuals who want to learn more about including this perspective in their work. Registration is free. More info below. |
