This morning, President Biden will take executive action to safeguard access to medication abortion, emergency contraception, and long-acting contraception, as well as to protect the privacy and safety of patients, providers, and clinics.

Here’s the good news: Today is proof that activism and pressure on leadership work!

THANK YOU to everyone who signed petitions, attended protests, or worked to show your support for abortion rights in America. This would not have happened without you.

But here’s the reality: This can only be the beginning.

President Biden alone can’t save us — and even today’s announcement doesn’t do enough to address the immeasurable suffering that has already started and will continue to grow as a result of the anti-choice attack on our reproductive freedom.

This is why our fight continues in state houses, city halls, school boards, and District Attorneys’ offices where abortion bans and persecution of patients, providers, and clinics originate. We need you with us in the fight to recruit, coach, and elect prochoice champions who can:

• stop abortion bans at their sources in state and city governments
• decriminalize abortion care
• provide logistical support for patients
• defund fake abortion clinics and “crisis pregnancy centers”
• enforce anti-harassment laws and protect providers
