I hope you found time to get outdoors with family and loved ones this week to celebrate Independence Day and the incredible promise of our great nation!

The Fourth of July celebrates the passage of the Declaration of Independence by the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776.

As we reflect on the ideals of our nation and how we can come together to build a brighter future for all, I am focused on the work that lies ahead to protect our individual freedoms and fight for our shared values. 

In the coming weeks, I will be launching my 2022 Summer Photo Contest to celebrate the natural beauty of our state — keep an eye out in this newsletter for more details!

I am proud of the work my team does every single day to help Granite Staters across New Hampshire’s Second District.

One of the most important jobs I have is assisting Granite Staters as they navigate federal agencies — people like Michael. When Michael reached out to my office for help rushing his passport renewal so he could travel to his daughter’s wedding, my team helped him get an emergency appointment right away so he could walk her down the aisle.

My dedicated team is working every day to support Granite Staters like Tim as they navigate federal agencies.

I’m thrilled my office was able to help Tim from Lebanon navigate the TSA application process to renew his transportation credentials for work. Within 72 hours of our inquiry, his new credentials were in production!

When Larry from Claremont reached out to my office after having trouble getting in touch with the IRS, my team jumped in and got his issue resolved quickly.

Preventive dental services will be available to Granite Staters on Medicaid next year. My mother, State Senator Susan McLane, started working to expand dental benefits for Granite Staters when I was a young girl. This week, I am pleased to see that work come to fruition and to have helped make this coverage possible with federal funding. 

Dental care is crucial to the health and well-being of every Granite Stater. Here’s to a big win, a long time coming, for New Hampshire!

Nearly 20 million lives were saved by COVID-19 vaccines during their first year. COVID-19 vaccines are safe, and effective, and continue to save lives and help prevent severe illness. If you have not already, you can find a vaccination site near you to get up to date on your booster: https://www.vaccines.gov/.

As always, the CDC and the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services are the best resources to turn to for information about COVID-19. If you are sick, stay home and call your health care provider.
