The GOP can’t handle the truth.

If you can excuse the cliche movie reference, I’d like to explain why national Republicans are so focused on defeating me in November.

John, I’ve been outspoken about the danger our democracy is facing. Republicans claim that this is a partisan attack but, well, it’s not. This is about upholding my oath of office, and my duty to our country.

My greatest responsibility as a Representative is to ensure that our children inherit a healthy, thriving democracy — and the GOP may have a problem with that, but I don't care. Because I'm doing the right thing.

I’m counting on your support in this critical moment for our campaign and our country. Will you chip in $5, $15, or whatever you can to help me fight back against the wave of attacks national Republicans are hurling my way?

Here’s the reality: there’s no leadership without trust, and there’s no trust without honesty.

The lies, conspiracies, and cover-ups promoted by far-right politicians like my opponent Jen Kiggans are threatening the very core of our democracy.
