Dr. Rosales is a Professor and Researcher in the Academic Department of Fisheries Engineering at the Autonomous University of Baja California Sur (UABCS), in La Paz, BCS. In 2018 he founded the Marine Megafauna and Fisheries Research Program (MMAPE) at the UABCS and is the Academic Manager of the Whale Museum Rescue Center/UABCS.

2022 UN Ocean Conference Concludes
Sea Shepherd welcomed the United Nations’ increased focus on Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated Fishing (IUU) at the 2022 UN Ocean Conference in Lisbon last week. IUU is theft. It devastates the environment, undermines legal fishing, and often involves human trafficking, drug smuggling, arms smuggling, and more. Operation Milagro is protecting endangered species like the vaquita from extinction. Our captains, crews and volunteers are often the last line of defense for threatened marine wildlife.
