YOU DID IT FOR SANDRO THE TIGER...
NOW LET'S DO IT FOR SIMBA THE LION

Hi John
You may be wondering why we've included a picture of a very content-looking tiger in our Build Simba a Home Appeal ( [link removed] ). This is Sandro - you may remember him from last year.

Thanks to YOU and your support of our Tigers in Crisis Appeal last summer, 15-year-old Sandro has now moved out of his temporary space and into his brand new enclosure in the Animanatura Wildlife Sanctuary ( [link removed] ), meaning Simba, our latest rescued lion, could be given Sandro's old home.

Sandro's huge, new space is purpose-built to suit his specific needs, including an artificial lake with different water levels for swimming, climbing logs, and fallen tree trunks to scratch and sharpen his claws on. It is remarkable to see how Sandro is enjoying his enhanced new life, and there is a stark improvement to his welfare and safety compared with his past life in a zoo. All thanks to YOU.

NOW WE NEED YOUR HELP TO BUILD SIMBA HIS NEW ENCLOSURE  ( [link removed] )

Simba is now safe, but his temporary enclosure is not appropriate to permanently house a growing lion. You gave the gift of a purpose-built forever home to Sandro the tiger, the gift of the best possible welfare after the horrors he suffered. Can we rely on your generosity once more for Simba? ( [link removed] )

“Simba has really settled in well to his temporary new enclosure,” explains Lisa Russo at Animanatura. “He’s sniffing around, scratching his claws on the trees. Now we need to raise funds to build Simba a brand new area.”

The new enclosure will be far more spacious and include extensive climbing platforms for Simba – lions love a good view of their surroundings, so this is really important for Simba’s well-being, as well as maintaining his strength. There will be a woodland area to explore, an internal shelter zone with wooden platform beds, and the entire enclosure will be surrounded by trees and shrubs to maximise privacy.

PLEASE DONATE WHAT YOU CAN TODAY ( [link removed] )

Thanks to two very generous sponsors - Olsen Animal Trust, a family trust established to end animal cruelty and exploitation, and friend of Born Free, Julia Grazien-Smith - all donations up to £12,000, until 1st September 2022, will be doubled, turning every pound you give into two pounds at no extra cost to you!

How your gift could help
£25 could buy Simba health-enhancing vitamins enrichment£195 could buy one week’s food and expert care£430 could build a raised bed for Simba to sleep and eat on£3,500 could build Simba a climbing platform to strengthen his muscles

John, will you give a gift to Simba today ( [link removed] )?

Simba suffered horrifically as a cub - a tiny victim of the cruel wildlife trade, just weeks’ old when found alone and confused in Russia - half-starved, gravely ill, in critical condition. Your support today really can transform this intelligent animal's life by building him a forever home and giving him a future he truly deserves.

Thank you
