President Biden is breaking promises and caving to pressure from Big Oil. This administration's policy on fossil fuel extraction from public lands and waters is nothing short of a climate bomb.

Biden just released a plan for offshore oil and gas leasing in U.S. oceans for the next five years. The plan would open the Gulf of Mexico and Alaskan waters to more drilling. To make matters worse, the administration released this plan for the oceans after moving forward with huge lease sales of public lands for oil and gas drilling. This would unleash massive carbon emissions, locking us into decades of climate chaos.

One of the best ways we can fight the twin climate and extinction crises is to protect our oceans, which provide habitat for innumerable sensitive wildlife and sequester carbon. But Biden’s plan does the exact opposite, threatening ocean ecosystems, endangered species, fisheries and coastal communities with pollution and spills.

Our planet simply can’t handle more fossil fuel development. Tell Biden to scrap this disastrous plan and immediately commit to ending fossil fuel extraction on all public lands and waters. [link removed]
