I want to thank everyone who came out to our Veterans town hall this week! A HUGE special thanks to the Disabled American Veterans of FishHawk and the Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs who came to make sure that every Vet who showed up left with a challenge coin, and more importantly, the resources and contacts they need to access their earned benefits.

As the Vice-Chairman of the bipartisan Veterans' Caucus, I wanted to take the opportunity at this event for our Veterans to share some of our successes directly with them and their families. 

• Purple Star Schools and a renewed Interstate Compact for Military Children to make sure our military families get the BEST education possible while serving here in the Sunshine State.

• License recriprocity for military spouses to ease the burden on their moves, reduce government red-tape, and ensure that we respect the skills they bring to our state.

• The LARGEST tax break in state history for our active-duty troops, first responders, and teachers.

• $8.7m for Veteran support organizations and causes including the suicide hotline, training schools, and homelessness initiatives.

And thanks to YOU, we made sure every Veteran in HD-69 knew about it! We sent calls/texts and follow-ups to EVERY Veteran in the district inviting them to the event and informing them about our successes. If you want to help me continue this kind of communication, please chip in via a link below!
