Hey everyone –
It’s been two weeks since Roe v. Wade was overturned. I wanted to check in and let you know that I have not lost my sadness, anger or sense of urgency to fight back. We must do everything in our power to restore and protect a woman’s right to her own bodily autonomy. That means keeping our Democratic majority in the House, sending more Democrats to the U.S. Senate, and defeating Republicans in Congress who continue to cruelly block our path to sending pro-choice legislation to President Biden’s desk.
The overturning of Roe v. Wade is something that has reinvigorated my lifelong commitment to being a champion for women not just in California but across the country. We are lucky to have laws in place in California that protect women and their right to reproductive healthcare, however there are over 36 million women who have lost access to abortion care and need our help.
Women in America need fellow pro-choice, Democratic women advocating on their behalf in Congress, and I am proud to do this work. I have been a strong and vocal supporter in Congress to codify the right to an abortion, and I have proudly supported legislation that protects women and their right to reproductive healthcare, including the Women’s Health Protection Act.
I am running for re-election this year to continue my commitment to California and our nation’s women. Can you make a donation today of any size so I can continue that commitment?

In the days and weeks since the overturning of Roe, it has never been more important to protect a Democratic majority and to keep a champion of women’s rights in office.
