We're a little more than a week out from our biggest hurdle yet as a campaign: The legislative session fundraising freeze.

In a second, I'll ask you for a donation because this is huge -- but first, let me explain why.

For 30 days leading up to the Washington state legislative session and for every day the legislature is in session, I can't raise any money. At all. Period. My opponents on the other hand don't have to stop fundraising -- and they will seize this opportunity to rake in as much money as possible while I'm hard at work governing, trust me.

We set an aggressive deadline goal that will fuel us through this big freeze: $50,000. Every dollar makes a difference because we're truly powered by grassroots donations like yours: Will you donate $1 or more today before our freeze deadline next Friday?

I'm up against at least six opponents who want to take my job in next year's election -- and the Republican Governors Association has plenty of cash to burn to help them do it.

Remember: In the first six months of 2019 alone, the RGA raised $30 million dollars. During the 2018 cycle, they raised $180 million. They've got money to spend, and beating me would be a HUGE upset -- exactly what they're looking for. We cannot take any chances here: We've made incredible progress this year, from free or reduced college tuition, to a statewide public healthcare option, to taking steps to dramatically reduce our carbon footprint.

Our successes are being used as models for states across the country -- and could be adopted at the national level if we keep fighting and building on that progress. But if I lose next year's election, everything gets rolled back.
