Wisconsin is known for nail-biter elections. I can tell you that from experience.

This race is a dead heat right now. I’m the only Democrat beating Ron Johnson in EVERY public poll — including the two most recent surveys. But it’s only a two-point margin, which means we must grow our lead.

Every decision we make matters, which means every donation made to our campaign matters, too.

The money we raise online determines how much we can invest in hiring more staff, keeping our TV and digital ads running, and expanding our voter outreach operation. Those are some of the tough decisions we need to make to defeat Ron Johnson and make sure Mitch McConnell never becomes Senate Majority Leader again.

But the truth is, July is a notoriously difficult month for fundraising, which is why we’re getting started so early.
