John, I believe with my whole heart that we should all be in charge of what happens to our bodies.

The Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade has taken away a right that we have counted on for nearly 50 years. Before Roe, folks were prosecuted or even jailed for seeking abortions. Others died from the often unsafe and dangerous procedures that were forced to happen behind closed doors. People would travel across city limits, state lines, and even national borders to receive the care they needed.

With this new ruling, that's the world we're heading back to. Partisan extremists will have the power to restrict reproductive freedoms. They could ban interstate travel to receive abortion care. They could incarcerate patients, their doctors, and their nurses. They could criminalize just the very act of seeking information about abortions. They could even ban abortion nationwide.

But this isn't just about abortion. It is about protecting women’s autonomy, their power to make their own decisions, and their equality.

The Court's ruling is devastating, it's ruthless, and it goes against our Constitution's tenets of liberty and equality for all. I refuse to accept that this is our future. We must give people the capacity to think for themselves, to choose their own futures, to control their own bodies.

As a nurse and a mom, I know that our country must provide compassionate and good care for everyone – that includes contraception and the right to an abortion. As senator, you have my word that I will work night and day to pass legislation that codifies Roe v. Wade into law and restore the reproductive freedoms that we've counted on for generations.

The majority of Americans are with us on this. But powerful forces are bankrolling a vocal, radical minority – and right now, they're winning. We must unite together to make our voices heard today and at the polls in November. So please, can I count on you to make a grassroots donation to support my campaign and stand for reproductive freedom? Every grassroots donation puts us one step closer to building the coalition we need to win on election day.
