Three of those pro-choice Democrats are Governor Tony Evers of Wisconsin, Governor Laura Kelly of Kansas, and Stacey Abrams in Georgia.
All three of their races are set to be razor-close in November. If elected, each of these candidates would stand tall against the GOP’s vicious attacks on reproductive healthcare.

John, Tony’s race could be one of the most consequential races of the year. Since Wisconsin Republicans have GERRYMANDERED their state so aggressively, they’re likely to keep control of the legislature no matter who wins the governor’s race.
In Kansas, Governor Laura Kelly’s race is neck and neck , and Democrats have a shot to turn this red state blue for four more years. If Laura doesn’t win this election, Kansas Republicans could strip away reproductive rights overnight.
And in Georgia, Stacey Abrams is running to unseat anti-abortion extremist Governor Brian Kemp. A recent poll showed Stacey tied with Kemp, proving that the Peach State is up for grabs once again.
As radical legislatures continue to draft despicable, backwards legislation that regulates a woman’s body, remember: The fight for reproductive freedom is being fought at the state level.
