-----BEGIN FORWARD:-----
Good afternoon, John,
I did it! I have officially filed my re-election paperwork for 2020 and I'm fired up!
Together, we've fought for better pay for teachers and other educators instead of sweeping corporate tax cuts. We've engineered overwhelming success in recruiting jobs and growing businesses.
I've vetoed bad Republican budgets that valued corporate tax cuts over investments in education, clean water and better health care and I've blocked extreme right-wing social legislation that's wrong for our people and our economy.
We've worked hard and gotten results, but there's more to do.
I'm asking for a second term to complete our mission of a better educated, healthier and more prosperous North Carolina.
It would mean an awful lot to me if you donate what you can to help power our campaign. We've got a big year coming up, and we all need to keep working together to secure progress for North Carolina.

Our opponents are out-of-touch, far-right politicians.
Their extremist views are not only divisive -- they are also bad for business, bad for our schools, and bad for North Carolina.
They're preparing to flood our state with millions of dollars in dark money.
It will be tough, John, but I'm not worried. I know I've got a team of grassroots supporters like you backing me up.
Let's show the extreme far-right the power of our team! Chip in any amount you can and let's head into 2020 with a wave of momentum behind us >>
