Friend,
Survivors of human trafficking have not been centered in efforts to address human trafficking in the United States. Despite having the most valuable perspective and experience, they are often pigeonholed into roles that diminish their impact on the field. Survivors are often told the only way they can contribute is to repeatedly share their traumatic stories. But survivors are the true experts. They have creative solutions to support other survivors and prevent human trafficking from happening.
During July, join Freedom Network USA and the National Survivor Network in lifting up survivors’ perspectives during Every Survivor Counts Month. We will explore solutions from survivors, in their own words, and offer professional development resources that others have found useful in their advocacy work. Survivor perspectives should serve as the bedrock of human trafficking solutions. Help lift up these voices by donating today. Your donation will go directly to the professional development needs of survivors. Donate today to ensure #EverySurvivorCounts.
