John,

Paul LePage wants to avoid discussing his plans to ban abortion in Maine, but his GOP friends running for state legislature are giving away the game. It’s clear: they are coming for our rights.

Will you rush in $5 or any amount you can to help us elect Democrats to fight back? [link removed]

Just take a look at some of these quotes from Republicans running for office here in Maine:

Greg Foster (candidate for HD-86): I am in favor of not allowing abortion…

Eric Rojo (candidate for SD-8): I believe that the unborn are part of the citizens that must be protected by the constitution.

Eric Brakey (candidate for SD-20): I think that future generations are going to look back at us today and wonder how we tolerated the mass genocide taking place in abortion clinics across America…

Some extreme candidates are taking it a step further, intending to ban abortion even in cases where the mother’s life is at risk. Peter Lyford, the GOP candidate for SD-10, justified this cruel stance because he believes “there will always be somebody there to take care of the child.”

After the fall of Roe v. Wade , electing Democrats to defend our reproductive rights is more important than ever. It’s clear that Republicans will not hesitate to pass abortion restrictions right here in Maine if they win in November.

John, we are working hard to keep these radical anti-abortion candidates out of office. Will you help us elect Democrats this year with a $5 contribution now? [link removed]

Thank you,
