Friend, I know it’s been a tough few weeks, so I’m excited to share some great news:

Governor Gavin Newsom just signed the Plastic Pollution Prevention and Packaging Producer Responsibility Act (SB 54) into law!

This is truly an unbelievable achievement: California has taken a massive leap forward in addressing the plastic pollution crisis by becoming the first state in the nation to begin phasing out single-use plastic.

Friend, this is without question an incredible victory for our climate movement. Help us build on this momentum and continue the fight for more groundbreaking change by making a $15 donation today »

I couldn’t be more proud. For years, California Environmental Voters and our partners have been working to pass state legislation to mitigate the devastating impacts of plastic pollution.

And to get this over the finish line, our Sacramento team worked with legislators and their staff to educate them about the importance of addressing the plastic pollution crisis. And thanks to YOU, our EnviroVoters supporters, who made dozens of calls to lawmakers encouraging them to support it.

Friend, this victory proves that when we all work together, California can once again become a global leader in climate policy.

But this is just the beginning. We still have so many more climate goals we need to hit, and we’re going to need your help every step of the way.

So please consider making a gift to power our climate advocacy work. Even just a few dollars will really go a long way toward aiding our efforts to pass more bold legislation like SB 54 »

Thank you for your ongoing support! We can’t do this without you.

Onward!
