As a senior member of the Judiciary Committee, Hank is focused
this week on the serious task of hearing testimony in the
impeachment process and working within the Judiciary Committee to
help craft the articles of impeachment against President Trump.

He’s asked that our whole team
work extra hard this week to keep you -- the people -- engaged in
our political process. If there’s anything this whole process has
underscored, it’s that elections have consequences. In the 2016
presidential contest, only 61% of folks voted, and that’s the
high water mark every four years.

If we want a representative
democracy that is “by the people and for the people,” we can’t
let the negative rhetoric in politics today stop us from getting
that number closer to 100%. So, as a first step, we are asking our
supporters to make a pledge to vote. Will you sign a pledge today

as citizens to stay alert in the political process. That means we
need to stay tuned into the impeachment hearings, follow
trustworthy news sources, and make sure we are voting in all
elections to make our opinions heard at the ballot box.
