Dear John,
With this year’s 7th Annual Basque Fry just a few weeks away, it’s a pleasure to announce that Matthew Whitaker, who served as acting U.S. Attorney General under President Donald Trump in 2018-19, has joined our roster of all-star speakers!
He joins a speaker lineup that also includes United States Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, former Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt, Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts, and best-selling conservative author Kurt Schlichter. (And we’ll be announcing some more speakers soon … so stay tuned!)
If you don’t yet have your ticket to this year’s event, be sure to click here and reserve your spot today.
Mr. Whitaker has been an exemplary public servant and a strong, unrelenting champion for our country’s core principles — and we have no doubt that this year’s Basque Fry attendees will benefit greatly from hearing his insights.
Prior to becoming acting Attorney General, Mr. Whitaker served as Chief of Staff to the Attorney General. He was appointed U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Iowa by President George W. Bush, serving from 2004-2009, and was the managing partner of the Des Moines-based law firm Whitaker Hagenow & Gustoff LLP from 2009 until rejoining DOJ in 2017. He was also the Executive Director for The Foundation for Accountability & Civic Trust (FACT), an ethics and accountability watchdog, between 2014 and 2017.
Mr. Whitaker is the author of the book, “Above the Law, The Inside Story of How the Justice Department Tried to Subvert President Trump.” He is now a Co-Chair of the Center for Law and Justice at America First Policy Institute and a Senior Fellow at the American Conservative Union Foundation.
You may also have seen him in some of his frequent guest appearances on Fox News and Newsmax, among other news outlets.
Don’t miss this chance to hear from him in person!
As a reminder, the Basque Fry will be held from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. PDT on Saturday, August 13 at Corley Ranch in Gardnerville.
Just click here to get your ticket today, and we’ll see you there!
Thank you!
Sincerely,
Morning in Nevada PAC
