Leora Levy Signs Pledge Committing to Term Limits in Congress FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: July 7, 2022 CONTACT: [email protected] Leora Levy Signs Pledge Committing to Term Limits in Congress Greenwich, CT – While seeking the party’s primary nomination in a race full of career politicians, the only Republican U.S. Senate candidate who has not made a career running for office in Connecticut, Leora Levy signed a pledge committing to Congressional term limits. Levy, who believes voters need new names and fresh faces to step up to the plate and serve, is currently running in a three-way primary against someone who held office for over 20 years and a perennial candidate for over a decade. Remarks from US Term Limits President Philip Blumel: “This strong support of term limits shows that there are individuals who are willing to put self-interest aside to follow the will of the people. America needs a Congress that will be served by citizen legislators, not career politicians.” Statement from Leora Levy on her Decision to Sign the Pledge: “Our country is at a crossroads: we need real change in Washington to improve the quality of life for American families suffering under failed Democrat policies. Inflation is at a 40 year high and 88 percent of Americans believe the country is on the wrong track. We only have the career politicians to blame. Biden and Blumenthal have made life unaffordable for families, by recklessly spending trillions in taxpayer dollars. “Career politicians have become too comfortable serving themselves instead of the American People. Every time we fill up our gas tank or buy groceries to feed our families, it is a reminder that Blumenthal and Biden are out-of-touch with our lives in the real world. Our Founders did not envision public service as a ‘job for life.’ As a strong proponent of our Constitutional Republic, I believe we need new perspectives in Washington, which is why I promise that if elected to the U.S. Senate, I will self-limit my time in office to two terms. Americans deserve leaders who will help us move forward - not entrench themselves in political office while enriching themselves at the expense of the people. I am proud to sign the US Term Limits Pledge.” ### Learn more about Leora Levy, please visit www.LeoraforCT.com. About Leora I am running to take on the far-left whose policies will make our country look more like the Communist Cuba my family and I escaped in 1960 than the United States we have all known and loved. I am running for Senate to lead the fight for freedom. Joe Biden isn't on the ballot in November, but his policies are. The way to beat back Biden is to beat Dick Blumenthal, and I am the conservative candidate who can get it done.
