Exciting news! Today, EMILY's List endorsed my campaign for re-election to the Michigan State Senate.

EMILY's List is a national organization that supports Democratic pro-choice women candidates. Given the moment we are in where ten-year-old rape survivors are being inhumanely denied abortions in other states and where the lives of people who can get pregnant are at stake, I'm especially honored to earn EMILY's List's support in 2022.

Reproductive freedom is on the line in Michigan during this election. We can each take action. I spoke at a rally in Detroit the evening of the United State Supreme Court decision in Dobbs and attended marches in Royal Oak and Clawson last week.

I am incredibly inspired by the growing activism of people who can get pregnant and from our allies. We are going to continue advocating for the repeal of Michigan's archaic and extreme 1931 law criminalizing abortion.

And I'm thrilled to see that 800,000 (and counting!) Michiganders have signed the Reproductive Freedom for All petition. Michigan has the chance to enshrine reproductive freedom into our state constitution and it is because of the tireless leadership of groups like the ACLU of Michigan, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Michigan, Michigan Voices.
