,
Today, we are headed back to court alongside our courageous plaintiffs and co-counsel to ask the judge to order the federal government to protect tens of thousands of first-time and “extended renewal” DACA applicants who are currently in limbo.
We represent a class of nearly 80,000 immigrant youth who are eligible for DACA and have already completed and filed their applications and yet have been left without protection since the government stopped processing first-time applications and adjudicating “extended renewal” applications last July.
The immigrant youth we represent are entitled to the DACA protections for which they are eligible and have applied for — or interim protection while litigation resolves — so they can live with certainty and stability in the country that is their home.
As our team sets out on a very important day in court, remember that we will never stop fighting for a just, humane, and inclusive immigration system — no matter what.
Thanks for being with us every step of the way.
Sincerely,
Lisa Graybill
