Hey there,

Does this look like Ocean Activism to you? ๐Ÿ‘€

And fundraising isn't just endless fun. It's also an essential way to help save the ocean.

So, find your inspiration from the fundraisers below, who are taking Ocean Activism to a whole new level.

See those happy chaps carrying a... boat? Theyโ€™re paramedics. Working at the Yorkshire Ambulance service, they respond to jobs which are deemed too dangerous for a conventional ambulance to attend. So, the great outdoors is their haven: a place to escape and recharge from the demands of work. With plastics and pollution threatening their sanctuary, they chose to act. The team took part in the annual Knaresborough Bed Race to raise funds to support our ocean-saving work and ultimately t o save their beloved outdoor sanctuary. ๐ŸŒŠ

The year 8โ€™s at Daneshill School undertook some mighty Ocean Activism. Summiting the infamous three peaks โ€“ Ben Nevis, Scaffel Pike and Snowdon - to support our ocean-saving mission. Eve from the class said โ€œIt makes me sad that animals are dying from our mistakes. We wanted to support SAS to help save our oceansโ€. Alongside their ambitious hike (where they carried QR codes for their Just Giving page to encourage donations from passers-by), the class hosted various quiz nights, fetes, raffles, and beach cleans to raise over a whopping ยฃ4,500 to support our work ๐Ÿ‘

Potentially one of our first canine fundraisers, Blue (dog) and Sarah (human) are walking the South West Coast Path this summer ๐Ÿถ As a lover of the beach and all-things-watersports, the threats facing the ocean are too close-to-home for Sarah. So, walking the stretch of the SWCP seemed like a highly apt mission. Not only to witness the breath-taking beauty of our coastline and unique wildlife, but to fuel our mission to combat everything that threatens the ocean ๐Ÿ‘Š
