It's finally here! Join us for the return of the 21 line this Saturday at 1pm!

Join us for the grand return of the 21 line! Due to a lot of hard work and dedication of SFTR, SFMTA, Supervisor Preston, and riders across the city, the 21 line is back starting this Saturday!

On Saturday, July 9, please meet us at Alamo Square (Hayes and Steiner). We will then ride the 21 to Golden Gate Park, where we will learn about Rec and Parks Adaptive Bike program at the Bandshell parking lot. See you there!

Volunteer with SFTR to talk transit with folks at Sunday Streets!

SFTR will be tabeling on Sunday, July 10 at Sunday Streets in Valencia! Sunday Streets is San Francisco’s open streets program that transforms miles of city streets into car-free community spaces for kids to play, seniors to stroll, businesses and organizations to connect, and neighbors to meet. It is also a great time to talk to people about why they take transit, what they don't like about transit, and what needs to be done to make their transit more reliable, better, and more accessible. (You do not need to be an SFTR member to volunteer, but we do hope you'll become one either way!)

Details on Expanded Bus Service Coming July 9

On July 9, the next phase of  the 2022 Muni Service Network plan will go into effect, focused on expanding bus service including the return of the 2 Sutter, 6 Haight-Parnassus and 21 Hayes (with some route changes), as well as other route extensions and modifications. SFMTA is working on service changes that prioritize service linking neighborhoods identified by our Muni Service Equity Strategy to essential destinations like hospitals and neighborhood commercial corridors, accommodate changing travel patterns and getting the most of the system.

Have you joined our working groups?

There's still time to get on board with our working groups. As the only transit rider advocacy organization in San Francisco, we empower everyday transit riders to raise their collective voices to advocate for pro-rider policies. Our members give us the political, financial and volunteer power to accomplish goals we would otherwise not be able to achieve. Working groups build on SFTR's rich history of member-led advocacy, helping to define and lead our rider-first agenda. Working groups are exclusive to SFTR members, so become a member today and claim your seat at the table.
