Team,
There are no words to describe the horrific mass shooting we saw on Independence Day earlier this week in Highland Park, Illinois. Make no mistake: a country where mass shootings are a daily occurrence is not a free country. While we’ve made important progress in enacting common-sense gun reform legislation, it’s never been clearer that the work is far from over.
The bipartisan gun reform package was a good start. But that’s just what it is, a starting point. More action must be taken until mass shootings are a distant memory. We already know the consequences. So let’s push harder, and do even more.
If you agree, can you sign on to our petition demanding even more action on gun reform, team?
We are sick and tired of waking up to news of mass violence and death. We are encouraged by the work of Congress to respond to these crises, but it’s going to take even more all-encompassing legislation to get to the root of the gun violence epidemic and end it, once and for all.
Buffalo. Uvalde. Highland Park.
No more. Let’s work together and get even more legislation on the agenda, team. Sign on now:
Thanks, team.
