We want advocates like you to be the first to know about this and other important cases as they make their way through the courts.
Friend,
Today I was in New Orleans as the 5th Circuit Court heard oral arguments on the latest challenge to DACA – the landmark policy that protects nearly one million Americans from deportation.
Attending the oral arguments was deeply personal to me as a DACA recipient. Despite the program’s undeniable success, immigration advocates expect to lose in the 5th Circuit. This means the case could soon be heard before the Supreme Court.
The team at FWD.us and our partners are fighting to protect DACA. But we can’t do it alone. We want advocates like you to be the first to know about these major legal developments as they make their way through the courts.
The threat to DACA is real. The outcomes from the courts could shape the future for hundreds of thousands of people like me who have long called the United States home. And it’s imperative that eligible DACA recipients continue to renew their DACA as soon as possible.
Despite its success and popularity, the fate of DACA remains tenuous as it makes its way through the courts.
