Hey John,

Most of you know my story, or about how I got here, but I know our movement has grown much larger over the last two months, and I’d like to share a little more about myself.

Since a picture is worth a thousand words, here’s my life in (a select few) photos!

1. I was born in California, and moved around a lot as a kid.

2. I worked for Vice President Al Gore from 1998-2000 as a member of his national advance team.

3. I married my lovely wife Caroline in 2007 (We just celebrated 15 years together a little over a month ago!)

4. I stayed in the campaign world and worked on President Obama’s presidential campaign in 2008.

5. I stuck around with President Obama and worked on the national advance team for the White House in his first term.

6. I settled into my home and started my own law practice in Cary, North Carolina.

7. My incredible kids Adeline and Prescott were born, and we’ve raised quite the family!

8. I ran for State Senate and have served this great state for two terms now.

9. I'm now running for Congress here in NC-13 to represent the values of working North Carolina families.
