Just this morning, Nancy Pelosi made a surprise announcement on the impeachment of President Donald J. Trump. She has taken the impeachment process to the next level, recommending that the House introduce official articles of impeachment.
After a series of hearings that failed to produce any concrete evidence of wrongdoing by President Trump, it is very clear that the Democrats are advancing their inquiry based on nothing but a personal distaste for the president, and a desire to undo the results of the 2016 election.
By continuing this process, they are abusing our Constitution. They are setting a precedent that impeachment, which was created by the Framers as a last result response to high crimes and misdemeanors, may be used as a political weapon.
John, I need you to take quick action to respond to Pelosi’s announcement. Can I count on you to join me?
I need you to send a message that you do NOT support this perversion of our Constitution – that you are against the Democrats continuing to waste time away from the true issues that need solving.
