John,

Spiraling inflation is leaving millions of families grappling with energy insecurity. Gasoline prices continue to be too high, and people are struggling to fill up their gas tanks.

Meanwhile, oil and gas corporations are padding their profits by gouging customers and exploiting high prices to push for more drilling, fracking and fossil fuel pipelines and export infrastructure, which would only accelerate climate change and lock us into decades more greenhouse gas pollution.

Public investments in affordable, renewable, reliable energy will help us break Big Oil's monopoly on energy costs making it more affordable for families across the country.

Tell Congress: It’s time we move beyond fossil fuels and invest in renewable energy technologies.

The communities hit the hardest by fossil fuel corporations’ dirty projects are the ones that can least afford it. Our reliance on fossil fuels disproportionately impact Black, brown and low-income communities – leaving people faced with a slew of negative health impacts, air and water pollution, and dangerous exposure to cancer-causing agents.

We need to act now to transition to a clean, renewable energy economy and ensure environmental justice for all. And a bill to help us get there is currently awaiting action in Congress.

The Energy Security and Independence Act would:

-- Provide $100 billion for investment in the U.S.'s renewable energy supply chain and programs to lower utility prices
-- Help ensure U.S. energy security benefits our transition to clean, renewable energy – NOT the fossil fuel industry

Join us in demanding Congress act now to transition off fossil fuels – it must start by passing the Energy Security and Independence Act.

Technology for a large-scale transition to renewables has existed for over 20 years, and it's cheaply available now — we need strong government policies backed by the political will to see it through. Congress must pass critical funding for renewable energy that will lower utility costs and get us off fossil fuels.

Urge Congress to pass the Energy Security and Independence Act.
