I’m writing to ask you to make a donation to help us meet our fundraising goal ahead of this month’s FEC filing deadline. But first, I want to explain why your contribution is so important.

It’s been an eventful couple of months on the campaign trail. Last month, a General Election poll from our presumptive opponent showed us to be in a 43%-43% tie. Shortly after, Republicans began ramping up their attacks. It’s the type of smears you expect to see. Lots of buzzwords like "radical" and "socialist.” Light on substance, but high on far-right pandering.

John, we’re no stranger to close races or these kind of lazy attacks, but December marks our FINAL quarterly FEC fundraising deadline of the year and it’s important that we send a message about our grassroots strength headed into the new year. That’s where you come in:
We set an ambitious goal of raising $30,000 in online contributions before our FEC deadline hits. That’s a tall task, so we need to get started a lot earlier than usual.
