John,
Last week, the Trump-dominated Supreme Court issued a ruling that will make it harder for states to protect people from gun violence.
Tina immediately condemned their decision, and she is the only candidate for Governor who is committed to addressing the gun violence crisis. As Speaker, she was proud to champion common-sense gun safety legislation that has saved lives. As our next Governor, she knows there is more work to be done.
On the other hand, Tina’s conservative opponents have always sided with the gun lobby and tried to block progress on gun violence prevention.
Betsy Johnson - a proud machine gun owner - spent her time as an elected official voting against gun safety legislation, earning herself a 100% approval rating from the NRA. And Christine Drazan has shown that she will follow the Republican party’s pro-gun playbook every step of the way.
Tina has challenged her opponents to a public forum to let voters know how they’ll tackle gun violence in our communities. Both have yet to give us an answer.
Enough is enough. Oregonians deserve a Governor who will take real action to save lives from gun violence, not side with the gun lobby. Will you chip in $10 to strengthen our people-powered campaign and stop our conservative opponents? [[link removed]]
