John,
WATCH: “I believe this impeachment not only fails to satisfy the
standard of past impeachments, but [it] would create a dangerous
precedent for future impeachments.” Georgetown Law Professor
Turley told the House Judiciary Committee. ( [link removed] )
Professor Turley’s testimony was an indictment of the House
impeachment process led by Pelosi, Schiff and Nadler. The curtain
is slowly being pulled back on their so-called “fact-finding
mission,” which has been nothing of the sort. So far, the
Democrats have:
* Failed to bring in material witnesses for questioning,
* Done whatever needed to satisfy their poll-tested political messages,
* Rigged the process to get their predetermined result.
This has gone on long enough. The real facts are that there was
no quid-pro-quo and the Democrats haven’t found their smoking
gun.
Professor Turley asserted that the real abuse of power would be
if House Democrats impeach President Trump for exercising his
constitutional right to go to court. He reminded them that there
are three branches of government and that the courts are there to
resolve such disagreements.
This whole process is about overturning the 2016 election and
damaging Trump’s re-election prospects for 2020.
There’s too much political drama in the Capitol—and I know you’re
as tired of it as I am. While many in Washington are fawning over
the political impeachment circus, I’m working on solutions that
create more jobs, lower prescription drug costs, restore our
lagoon, build a stronger space program, and most importantly,
protect our freedom.
I’m working to bring sanity to Washington and deliver results
that support our communities and local priorities. You can help
me do that.
America is the best experiment at representative government, and
America is worth fighting for. I will never give up on working to
make America great.
Sincerely,
Bill Posey
