Hello there,

The world would not be an inclusive place without you and the millions of supporters around the world who come together leading the charge for respecting and embracing all abilities in sports, in schools, and in the community.

This July, we’re taking the Revolution is Inclusion to the next level. We’ll share a story of a different🏅Champion of Inclusion🏅from our incredible community each week for the next month.

Our first🏅Champion of Inclusion🏅is Annie Tane. Annie joined Special Olympics nearly 20 years ago, when as a child she was looking to make friends. Today, on top of competing in bocce, tennis and athletics, Annie is also a Special Olympics North Carolina Global Messenger and a member of the Athlete Council. And when she’s not competing Annie also volunteers at Special Olympics events like the North Carolina Summer Games!

Recently, Annie became certified as a Health Messager for Special Olympics, where she will empower athletes to develop healthier lifestyles. Always there to lend a hand and a constant source of encouragement, Annie Tane is the perfect example of what it means to be a🏅Champion of Inclusion🏅!

This month along with celebrating champions, we are collecting signatures for our Inclusion Pledge, so that those who are isolated, left out, challenged, and bullied will know they have a community fighting for alongside them. We are gathering 50,000 signatures before July 31, and we have no doubt with you on our team we’ll get there – and then some! Sign the Inclusion Pledge today >>
