Fourth of July Fireworks Display at Freddie Benavides Sports Complex and Sisters of Mercy Waterpark

I attended a 4th of July fireworks display at Freddie Benavides Sports Complex and Sisters of Mercy Waterpark organized by the City of Laredo and Mayor Pro Tempore, Vidal Rodriguez. Thank you Sheriff Martin Cuellar, Councilman Mercurio Martínez III, Commissioner Jesse Gonzalez, County Treasurer Raul Reyes, Honorable Bobby Quintana, and Constable Mike Villarreal for your support.

I attended the 1st Annual Independence Weekend Fireworks Show in Southside San Antonio organized by State Representative Elizabeth “Liz” Campos.

My Rio Grande Valley Outreach Coordinator, Nicolas Cruz, attended the City of Roma Independence Day Celebration. Live music, food, and a car show provided entertainment for the Roma community.

Watch Your Car Month in Laredo Proclamation

My Laredo Outreach Coordinator, Melissa Peña, attended a proclamation by the City of Laredo declaring the month of July Watch Your Car Month in Laredo. The proclamation serves as a reminder to everyone in the community to be proactive and never leave vehicles unlocked, leave car keys inside their vehicles, and avoid leaving valuables exposed to plain sight.

Nuestra Clinica Del Valle

My Mission Outreach Coordinator, Alexis Gallegos, attended the Nuestra Clinica de Valley Health Fair in Roma. Thank you for all you do to keep our TX-28 communities healthy in the Rio Grande Valley.

Parks and Recreation Month

Melissa attended an event hosted by the City of Laredo proclaiming Parks and Recreation Month at the Jovita Idar's Progreso Park. This year's theme being "We Rise Up for Parks and Recreation."

Starr County DHR Medical Plaza

Nicolas attended the Starr County DHR Medical Plaza groundbreaking. The medical complex will include a medical laboratory, residency clinic, administrative offices, research facility, and multi-family housing.

Juntos for Better Health Program

Melissa attended a health care fair held by the City of Laredo Health Department. The city's Juntos for Better Health program provides free basic healthcare services to members of the community.
