Leora Levy Calls Out Democrats for Undermining Election Integrity as DOJ Sues Arizona
Greenwich, CT – Yesterday, the Department of Justice sued Arizona over a new law requiring residents to show proof of citizenship in order to cast a vote for a federal election. Calling this lawsuit a gross, extreme attack on our nation’s democracy, Connecticut Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, Leora Levy issued the following statement chastising radical Democrats and the Department of Justice.
Leora Levy’s Statement on the Significance of Election Integrity:
“After the games Democrats and their allies played during Covid regarding ballot harvesting, expanding mail-in ballots and numerous other election law changes, this lawsuit is clearly another attempt to undermine the integrity of our elections. There is an invasion at our Southern Border, and Democrats like Biden and Blumenthal are not only allowing the flood of illegal immigrants into our country, they are trying to ensure they can vote too!
“As a legal immigrant to this nation, I cherish election day and the opportunity afforded to me as an American to perform my civic duty and cast a ballot in the name of Democracy. That right should solely be reserved for American citizens. I strongly concur with Arizona’s Attorney General that ‘election integrity means counting every lawful vote and prohibiting any attempt to illegally cast a vote.’ That is just common sense.”
