John — Nancy Pelosi just announced that the House will draw up articles of impeachment against Donald Trump and could vote as soon as Christmas.
This is our chance to send a powerful message to Congress about where the people stand on this issue. SO, we’re teaming up with dozens of organizations to launch nationwide rapid response demonstrations on the eve of this critical vote — whenever it’s scheduled. And we need you there, John.
NOTE: These events will take place the evening before the House votes to pass articles of impeachment. That vote is not yet scheduled. We will specify a date once a vote is scheduled but in the meantime, please RSVP for the event near you to make sure you get updates on the event from the host.
There are over 375 events planned so far, but if there’s not one near you, please consider hosting your own!
With these protests, we have an opportunity to lead Americans in historic demonstrations demanding an end to a bigoted, hateful presidency. We have the opportunity to make the impeachment vote a turning point — the moment when the American people stood up against the corruption and lawlessness that is threatening the core of our democracy.
Like we saw during the airport protests in the wake of the Muslim Ban, when we rise up by the millions on the streets — Congress is forced to listen. These protests will help set the tone before the Senate would then have to decide whether to convict and remove Trump from office.
