I recently emailed you to introduce you to Claudine, an amazing mother from the Mwaro province, Burundi who is volunteering her time to share life-saving skills and knowledge with other mothers in her community.

Burundi is one of the hungriest countries in the world. And with the climate crisis worsening, it's becoming increasingly difficult for families to feed their children. That's where Mamans Lumières, or Light Mothers, like Claudine (pictured) and your support come in.

I have seen the devastating impact this has had on children, with many of them malnourished. As a mother, this is especially hard for me to witness.” ***

Additional training in good nutrition means communities can prevent child malnutrition and save lives.

Give a Light Mother kit including leaflets, a thermometer, and a mid-upper arm circumference (MUAC) band, to support other mothers and their children.

[**Train a Light Mother**]([link removed])

Train a Light Mother so that they can pass on life-saving skills, knowledge, and advice to other mothers such as how to grow plenty of food and how to fight child malnutrition.

[**Create healthy and happy homes**]([link removed])

Support a Light Mother to train other families in good sanitation and hygiene practises at home, helping to create happy and healthy homes.
