5 Monumental Cases That Highlighted the Supreme Court’s 2021-2022 Term <[link removed]> – The Supreme Court <[link removed]> has just finished what will likely go down as one of the most momentous and memorable terms in history. In addition to the court deciding many blockbuster cases from abortion to the limits of the power of the federal bureaucracy, Justice Stephen Breyer <[link removed]> retired, now-Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson was sworn in to replace him; there was an unprecedented leak <[link removed]> of a draft opinion, protesters <[link removed]> showed up at justices’ homes in several attempts to intimidate them, and an armed man made a serious threat to
one of the justice’s lives based—in part—on that leaked draft opinion. This term saw major victories for religious liberty and Second Amendment rights. There were also important decisions about the powers possessed by administrative agencies. Heritage Expert: Zack

Here’s What SCOTUS’ Decision To End Roe Really Means <[link removed]> - Large and consistent majorities of Americans have long believed that the abortions Roe v. Wade made legal — abortions because the mother simply does not want to be pregnant — should be illegal. A 2018 Gallup poll, for example, found that a majority, even in the first trimester, said abortion should be illegal when “the woman does not want the child.” The American people, not the Supreme Court, should decide whether that should be reflected in our laws. 7 Charts Show Why Congress Must Get Spending Under Control Immediately <[link removed]>—If Not Sooner - Millions of American families are reeling
from the worst wave of inflation in more than four decades. Reduced purchasing power and shortages of basic goods, such as baby formula, have caused consumer confidence to hit record lows. Those looking to Washington for real solutions will be left wanting. Both the Biden administration and congressional Democrats are promoting tired, failed policies: more federal micromanagement, red tape, handouts to political allies, and threats of job-killing tax hikes. A Conservative’s Guide to Getting Foreign Policy Right <[link removed]> - Those of us who have long been proponents of President Ronald Reagan’s mantra of
“peace through strength” were roundly decried for criticizing a supplemental bill to provide additional support for Ukraine. We have never wavered from our belief that it is in America’s interests to help Ukraine defend itself against Russian president Vladimir Putin’s aggression. Our objection was that the bill was bad policy and lacked accountability. We can’t help defend Ukraine by bankrupting Americans. We must demand our president and Congress do better. Supreme Court Unwisely Lets Biden End Program Making Illegal Aliens Remain in Mexico <[link removed]> - As the U.S. southern border is being overrun with record numbers of illegal aliens month after month, the U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday approved the Biden administration’s termination of the successful Remain in Mexico program in a 5-4 decision by Chief Justice John Roberts and joined by Justices Stephen Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, and Brett Kavanaugh. The decision will further aggravate a dire border crisis, created by the administration’s open-border policies. Heritage Experts: Lora Ries <[link removed]> and Hans von Spakovsky <[link removed]>
Joe Biden’s COVID Vaccine Strategy: Shots For Kids, But Not Illegal Immigrants <[link removed]> - The United States alone has already accumulated a list of
more than 830,000 reports of adverse events associated with COVID-19 vaccines, with substantially more adverse events reported worldwide. Moreover, a Harvard story shows that reported adverse events represent only 1–10 percent of actual adverse events. Despite the well-established risks, the FDA’s Advisory Committee approved both FDA EUA proposals in infants and kids. Heritage Expert: Lora Ries <[link removed]>
