Take our summer survey and tell us how are you feeling about the direction of our country right now.

John — We don't know about you, but the start of summer has felt like blow after blow. The foundations of how we're allowed to simply exist in this country seem to be under constant attack.

Too many women have lost the right to choose what happens with our bodies, the right to choose when we start a family, the right for our children to go to school and come back alive. Black and brown folks face racist voter suppression. And domestic workers are still being denied basic labor protections, respect, and safety.

As we reflect on yesterday’s Independence Day events, we continue to stand with and uplift the millions of Americans who are not truly free. And, we're focusing on the people who are fighting for freedom everyday, in ways big and small. That’s why we’re reaching out to supporters like you, who are doing everything you can to build a society that values care. We care about you and want to check in and see how you’re doing.

John, can you take a minute to let us know how you're doing through this short survey? Your answers will help shape our direction for the next few months.

Here's the first question: How are you feeling about the direction of the country right now?

It’s headed in the wrong direction
No change
It’s headed in the right direction

The more perspectives we take in, the more equipped we'll be to tackle the seismic changes impacting all of us, and especially our domestic worker members.

Because no matter where each of us is starting from, our work relies on all of us having hope. In the face of generations of discrimination, hope for a better future is itself an act of resistance – and domestic workers are leading the way as we build a society that cares more, not less. A society where everyone is truly free.

We're so grateful for your engagement in this movement, and we look forward to hearing how you’re doing.

Dignity, Unity, Power

The majority of domestic workers sit at the center of some of our nation’s most decisive issues because of who they are and what they do: they are women – mostly women of color, immigrants, mothers, and low-wage workers. They are impacted by almost every policy affecting the future of our economy, democracy and country.

Domestic workers can lead us toward a new, inclusive vision for the future for all of us -- and your grassroots support is the fuel that can get us there.
