Our power comes from people across Georgia registering to vote and making their voices heard. It comes from organizers in conversations around the kitchen table, and from those across the country who chip in what they can to build our movement. Our power comes from people like you — and it’s growing.
As we build toward a better tomorrow, there will be devastating setbacks like the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe and reprehensible abortion bans like Brian Kemp’s. And when there are setbacks, we can look at this moment and see how we found our strength, shared it with one another and our communities, and came together for the fight ahead. We know it’s not easy to fight back in moments like these, but it’s crucial and will be worth it — so thank you.
Thanks to your support, we will keep up the fight for free and fair elections for all. We will protect each person’s right to vote for the abortion access, gun safety laws, and education policies that they deserve. We will continue to support pro-democracy candidates like Stacey Abrams and Senator Raphael Warnock who will fight to protect our freedoms. And we will stand up to the legislators whose only path to power is through voter suppression.
Yesterday’s holiday was a day for celebrating those who continue the fight for freedom for every American — no matter their gender, race, or zip code. Today and every day to come, the work of building power, fighting for democracy, and finding our true independence continues. We hope you’ll continue to be right there with us.
Thank you,
Cianti Stewart-Reid
