John,
Immediately following the insurrection on our Capitol, numerous
corporations rushed to declare that they would stop giving donations to
members of Congress that opposed the certification of Joe Biden’s victory.
Some companies like Pepsi, Nike, and Target have stayed true to their word
and withheld funding from insurrectionists.
Yet many other corporations, including Home Depot, General Motors, and
ExxonMobil have resumed donations to many of the 147 Republicans that
actively fought against the peaceful transfer of power.
We cannot allow these corporations to get away with saying one thing in
public, but then later turn around and donate money to help Republicans
that incite violence and attack our democratic process.

the petition demanding Fortune 500 companies and corporate trade
associations stop giving contributions to the 147 Republicans who
supported the insurrection now.

If some corporations can withhold funds from insurrectionists so can
others, but without public pressure, they will continue to destroy our
democracy in pursuit of power and profit. We cannot let that happen.
Our name is Democracy For America because we understand that protecting
and defending our democracy is a top priority. Believing in the ideals of
democracy means fighting for its principles and actively warding off
attacks against it.
[ [link removed] ]That’s why we need you to stand with us as we fight to hold
corporations and election deniers accountable. Demand companies stop
funding the 147 Republicans who supported the insurrection now.

Thank you for adding your name and making sure every corporation knows
that we are working to hold them accountable as we fight to protect our
democracy.
