Celebrating Our Freedoms and Independence
Friend,
The Fourth of July is a time to come together and celebrate our independence. We are fortunate to live in the greatest country on Earth!
246 years ago, the Founding Fathers came together to officially adopt the Declaration of Independence. This weekend, we honored their dedication to the rights and freedoms we enjoy. Our predecessors fought against tyranny to form the “Great Experiment,” our constitutional republic. Today we continue the work they started to build a more perfect union.

As I meet with folks across Southeast Wisconsin, it is clear that we appreciate our nation’s history and the rights and liberties granted to us. Even though we may not all agree on every issue, we value our Constitution and the freedoms we enjoy.
This Independence Day I reflect on our work to continue to make us a more perfect union. I am committed to working with everybody to tackle important problems like inflation, rising crime, and border security.

I also want to hear from you on the issues you feel are most important. On this Fourth of July, we must remember that everyone in this nation shares the same rights, liberties, and responsibilities. I am committed to representing and helping folks in Wisconsin and I welcome your feedback. As always, if you have a comment or are experiencing trouble with a federal agency, don’t hesitate to contact my office.
On Wisconsin,
Bryan Steil
Member of Congress
