*Don't miss the chance to see real reindeer at Woodthorpe this weekend!*

On December 7 and 8, the team will be ensuring Woodthorpe is Reindeer Ready when two of Santas helpers will pay a visit.

Visitors can take pictures and feed the reindeer special food that can be bought on site, to ensure they are in tip top condition for Christmas Eve. This weekend will also see a visit from Mrs Claus and she will be reading stories for children.

Alongside the Christmas village with beautiful gifts and Christmas decorations, there will be face painting, trails, and tree decorating to keep the children entertained. There will be Christmas craft areas, wreath making and quirky crafts as well as family photo areas to grab a selfie on a sleigh and keep a souvenir of a great day. Live music will add to the Christmassy feel.

Entrance to Woodthorpes Christmas Weekends is free, although there may be a small charge for some activities.

Join the team for a fun-filled, family-friendly festive activity programme this Christmas. Meet Doe the Deer and her lovely woodland friends, and grab some memorable photos in the Great Hall.

There is something for everyone. Froma trail around the site, tours, chances to meet Santa and his Elves, concerts, crafts and markets, as well as an opportunity to enjoy a luxury afternoon tea or even have breakfast with Santa! It's going to be magical!

One of the highlights is theChristmas Lantern Adventure Tour*. These run every weekend on the hour from 11am - 6pm. They cost 6 per person and the tour takes approx approximately 30 minutes.Pick up a Christmas lantern and help find all of the ingredients for the Christmas cake which the naughty elves have hidden around the Hall.

EXTRA DATE! -Due to great demand there is an extra opportunity to visit the fascinating catacombs beneath Rock Cemetery this weekend.

Guided tours will provide an introduction and background to the Cemetery itself followed by a tour of the catacombs.

Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

Santas been very busy this year and cant fit anyone else in his grotto at Wollaton, but you can still join him for breakfast on weekdays or enjoy free storytelling with his Christmas Elf helpers at weekends.
