The midterm elections haven’t even happened yet, and Kevin McCarthy is
already bragging to Fox News about what he’ll do to Adam “when” he becomes
Speaker.

[ [link removed] ]McCarthy promises to boot Schiff and Swalwell

Yet again, McCarthy pandered to Trump and all his MAGA cronies by pledging
to strip Adam of all his committee assignments, including the House
Intelligence Committee.

These types of petty attacks are all McCarthy has to say about Adam — he
knows he can’t come after Adam’s work ethic and powerful leadership
without embarrassing himself and his Mar-a-Lago leader. And it’s meant to
distract from the fact that he and his fellow Republicans won’t defend our
democracy against their party’s dangerous leader.

But McCarthy’s threats aren’t hollow. Far from it. And if we lose the
House, he will follow through and retaliate against Adam. Trump won’t have
it any other way, and McCarthy lacks the courage to stand up to him.

These threats are only going to increase as we get closer to Election Day,
and Adam can’t fend off the GOP’s attacks alone. He needs the help of this
grassroots team.
