Biden Has No Policy to Deter Illegal Immigration, but the Fight Isn’t Over Yet ([link removed])
By Andrew R. Arthur
New York Post, July 2, 2022
Excerpt: In a blow to states that sued the Biden administration to bring the border under control, the Supreme Court ruled Thursday that the Department of Homeland Security isn’t required to continue the Trump-era Migrant Protection Protocols — better known as “Remain in Mexico” — and that lower courts can’t force the government to send illegal migrants back across the border to await their immigration hearings.
Of course Biden’s policies are to blame for this migrant tragedy ([link removed])
By Mark Krikorian
New York Post, June 28, 2022
Excerpt: There’s no getting around the fact that President Joe Biden shoulders a big part of the blame. SCOTUS: Courts Cannot Enjoin Termination of ‘Remain in Mexico’ ([link removed])
By Andrew R. Arthur
It will now be up to the lower courts to determine whether Mayorkas’ termination of Remain in Mexico was done properly, and whether the Biden administration’s release of illegal migrants at the Southwest border violates the law. This is likely not the last time the Court will be considering this case.
Newly Revealed DHS Intelligence Report Unintentionally Raises Issues of Mission Scope and Competence ([link removed])
By Dan Cadman
So if, God forbid, another disaffected foreigner commits an act of terror on our soil, don't look at the DHS report as prescient. Ask instead what DHS's Intelligence or other divisions have done about closing up the holes in the colander that DHS calls its vetting system(s).
GOP Outreach to Midwestern Hispanics ([link removed])
By Andrew R. Arthur
Protecting workers, supporting small business, getting crime and drugs off the streets, and ensuring quality schools are winning issues for a Republican party looking to secure Hispanic votes. Amnesty, however, is not, because while immigration is more important to Hispanics than to other parts of the electorate, it’s not among their biggest issues, and a GOP that fails to secure the borders is sure to lose.
