Howdy Comrade,
This Friday, the Houston-Galveston Area Council (HGAC) is scheduled to vote on $100 million in funding for TxDOT’s I-45 expansion project.
The I-45 expansion, as currently designed, poses a serious threat to neighborhood history, green space, flooding, housing, jobs, air quality, and the environment. This funding, if passed, would signal to TxDOT that this project has the region’s support and would give them a green light to begin this destructive project.
We are calling members of the HGAC to urge them to delay the funding vote until 2020 to allow TxDOT time to publicly address these negative impacts.
Will you take five minutes to help stop this project? To make it easy, we put together a call sheet with talking points.
