Today we are going back in time to 1955 when freedom fighters and revolutionaries put everything -- their jobs, safety, and dignity -- on the line to demand equality and justice in Montgomery, Alabama.

Today is the 64th anniversary of the Montgomery Bus Boycott, team. Coordinated by the NAACP, the MBB was a social protest against the policy of racial segregation on Montgomery's public transit system.

No matter how history books might make it seem, change doesn't happen overnight. This protest lasted nearly a year, and led to a Supreme Court case that ruled segregation unconstitutional.
