Hi John,

Hope you are having a good holiday weekend.

I spent this morning marching in the Greeley Stampede’s Independence Day Parade. It was so great seeing the longhorn cattle leading the parade, the children waving flags, and the city of Greeley coming out to celebrate our nation's independence. It’s one of my community's favorite traditions - the Stampede dates all the way back to the late 1800s and at the time was considered the largest festival in the world.

It was a great way to start the holiday and an incredible reminder of all that unites us as Americans.

As you enjoy your 4th of July parties, I hope you will join me in honoring all who have defended our freedoms especially those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.
